What can forms do?

Although the basic mechanism of collecting information through forms is filling the form questions one by one, the information collected can vary greatly. It's safe to say that forms are so useful that can be used in any situation related information collection and be reused at similar usage scenarios.

Let's learn the advantages from examples:

Registrations and Applications

Most event organizers must have been tortured by the tiresomeness of collecting registration information. If you are one of them, you can free yourself from such trouble by designing an application form with MikeCRM and inviting people to fill in the form. In this way, you can both get registration information with a unified format, and easily sort out the applicants who can attend the event. Furthermore, you can extend the usage scenarios to other events, such as volunteer recruitment, affiliate & franchising, and application for a closed beta of games. With a little imagination, you can always use forms to pave the way for events.

Polls and Surveys

Who should be awarded as excellent employees? Who is the most popular guest? What features do customers want most? Which product attracts customers most? If you need to survey popularity or ask for opinions, you can always find answers via MikeCRM forms.

Online Orders

You may have such experiences of ordering meals via Pad at restaurants or ordering goods online, like at Amazon. Now, you can design a form to collect online orders of your products, too. Interested? Take a look at the Use Cases column in MikeCRM Wiki to see how our users make most of MikeCRM forms.

How to design a form

You may start to design a form by clicking the green button "New Form" at the top right corner of the Form Manager page.

First of all, please name your form so that you could easily find it in the form list later. Then, choose to start with a blank form, or a template. In our Template Center, we've provided exquisite form templates to speed up your form design process. You may choose templates based on specific categories and usage scenarios.

After entering the Form Design page, you can freely switch between the Flash mode and the Veteran mode.

The Flash mode enables you to quickly add and edit form widgets. After several modifications for form appearance and settings, the form could be released. On the other hand, the Veteran mode allows you to explore more possibilities of a form, which means you can do detailed settings to a form from its appearance to each functions, creating a more powerful form.

The steps to design a form under the two modes are:

The Flash mode: ①Edit ②Release

The Veteran mode: ① Header ② Content ③ Appearance ④ After Submit ⑤ Global Settings ⑥ Release.

Although the two modes differ in the number of steps, the basic mechanism to design a form is the same. In MikeCRM, you can release a form and get its visit link after you've added and edited widgets to design form body, customized the form appearance, and set & adjusted the Submit behaviors. What you need do next are sharing the form link out through various channels, inviting other people to fill in the form, and collecting their submits.

In addition to the two design modes, we provide you with powerful extension packs. Different Extensions will enhance certain features of a form and thereby increase more possibilities of a form. For example, we offer "Form Logic" extension for free. With it enabled, the step Logic will appear for you to set skip rules for questions in the form. In this way, the form will show different questions based on the options selected by people. It is similar to the process of having a skippable psychological test.

The form design features are abundant and not difficult to get started. If you need any help in the course of using MikeCRM, please feel free to contact the customer service. We're ready and willing to provide support.

Form Submits

One form submits would be generated if someone visited, filled in and submitted your form via a computer or a cellphone.

Take the examination as an example. A form is like a blank test paper distributed by teachers while its Submit is like the test paper handed in by students after they've completed the questions. Your role works like the exam marker, reviewing these Submits collected and organizing & analyzing the submits.

What we've prepared is not convenient features to analyze and manage submits, but also several channels to get the notifications upon new submits, helping you easily mine submits data and make the most of them.

What's learned from books is superficial after all. It's crucial to have it personally tested somehow. Whether MikeCRM Form works like a charm or not, try it yourself and get the answer!
